- Bluetooth / BLE . Survey Bluetooth is the world's second most popular wireless technology, used for a variety of applications from indoor location services to IoT device connectivity. But as of this moment, there is no solution on the market to perform location based survey and heat mapping of Bluetooth beacons. To meet this market need, NetAlly introduced the first BLE and Bluetooth site survey solution on the market. The new functionality will allow EtherScope nXG users to conduct passive Bluetooth or BLE site surveys using the AirMapper app and internal radio, thus providing full visibility into Bluetooth network coverage and performance through via Link-Live. It will also allow users to perform both Wi-Fi (active and passive) and Bluetooth surveys on the same guide, making it quick and easy to validate Wi-Fi network performance and authenticate services. Indoor location services or IoT deployments, as well as 2.4GHz Wi-Fi interference can occur due to BT co-existence in the same band. The NetAlly AirMapper Site Survey application on EtherScope nXG collects data from three main signaling types: Eddystone UID, Eddystone URL, and iBeacon. The measured RSSI data from all observations is displayed in a visual heat map in the company's free Link-Live Cloud Service. The included data sheet contains all location specific details such as signaling type, RSSI, Tx capacity, class name, service, signaling ID number and more.
